Why Did I Get Married? is a 2007 American comedy-drama film adaptation written, produced, directed, and starring Tyler Perry. It explores the challenges of sustaining strong relationships in contemporary society. I love and adore Tyler Perry. He is a great actor. A worthwhile inside a handful of dysfunctional relationships on a get away retreat to fix or rebuild the relationship. A lot of different emotes and it was definitely heartfelt. Deserves 10 out of 10 stars, but five will do. 39 people found this review helpful. But the movies were awful—melodramatic, preachy, sexist, bad writing. There were some heartfelt/entertaining scenes but overall, ick. For Colored Girls is one of my favorite plays ever. I was stunned that he was permitted to make the film. The cast, including our girl, is volcanic but I refuse to watch it.
