I always recommend to put a wood dowel down the cylinder (remove both plugs) and turn it over by hand (either from under the tractor or with engine removed) and mark the rod at the spot where the cylinder is the highest. Do both cylinders they should be the same.

After I put new items on that i stated, spark plug sparked a few times and actually almost started engine.Cleaned off the pickup on the flywheel, ran a new lead from trigger unit to coil, and tractor fired right up.
