Ford c1 axle code

I'm planning on changing out the front and rear differential fluid in my Ranger and I have kind of a noob question. My truck has axle code R7. I've read that the R7 is an 8.8" L/S 4.10 ratio axle. My owner's manual states to add 4 oz of friction modifier XL-3 to the rear diff. for Traction-Lok axles along with 80w-90 fluid.
