Avalanche Ranch features three natural hot springs pools alongside the Crystal River. The pools are in a tiered layout, the largest one with a relaxing three-foot waterfall in front of a rock grotto. They are available year-round day and night, except for Wednesdays when the pools are being cleaned. And don't expect a quiet private hot springs experience to come with your 3 night minimum $600, or more, cabin rental fee. They allow day use passes for visitors, and on two of the 5 weekends I've spent at Avalanche Ranch there were children's birthday parties being held at the hot springs.
